Protecting Canadian Small Businesses and the Broader Public Sector

The CCA is a nonprofit that provides pro bono services to defend against cyber threats.

Building communities of skilled cyber talent across Canada

We build regional cyber defense capabilities, with a national oversight. We leverage the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Workforce Framework for Cybersecurity (NICE Framework).

Working with Universities, Colleges and private sector organizations, we help build the next generation of skilled cyber resources. Through a comprehensive program of certification, tactical exercises, mentorship and real world experience, we ensure that members have the skills to help organizations before, during and after, a crisis situation with a structured methodology .

Strategy and Planning

The CCA is dedicated to empowering small businesses through education and strategic guidance, aiming to build foundational security controls. Our mission is centered on providing clients with essential tools and knowledge to bolster cybersecurity defenses effectively. To achieve this, we've designed a series of workshops and online training programs, designed to give a hands-on understanding of cybersecurity best practices.

In addition, we distribute relevant resources to keep you informed and prepared for ever-evolving security challenges.

Emergency Cyber Incident Triage

When a disaster strikes, it is important to have an incident response plan. If you do not have one, call us and we will help you assess the severity of the attack, and provide you with options for next steps. During an incident, the faster the response, the more effective it is. We help you to involve the right parties quickly, thus minimizing the impact.

Cyber Incident Trauma Counseling

Recognizing the emotional distress resulting from cyber-attacks, our organization provides specialized support to help individuals navigate this complex experience. Our trained counselors offer essential guidance, assisting victims in regaining their digital confidence.

To enhance our services, we have partnerships with mental health organizations, enriching our resources and offering extensive training to our team. Through this comprehensive approach, we aim to alleviate the impact of cyber trauma. No one should face the aftermath of a cyber-attack alone. By providing a strong support network, we not only guide individuals towards recovery but foster resilience, transforming recovery from a mere possibility into an expectation.

Building a National, Resilient, Cyber Community

Building a resilient cyber community across Canada is of paramount importance, particularly as we continue to grapple with a shortage of qualified professionals in the field. By building robust partnerships with education sectors and industry, we can create a sustainable pipeline of cybersecurity talent, equipped with the necessary skills and competencies to combat escalating cyber threats. Such collaborations can provide avenues for practical learning and foster innovation, complementing theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience.

This not only helps in addressing the professional shortage but also creates a more resilient cyber ecosystem. The blend of academia, industry, and community efforts also promotes a culture of shared responsibility towards cybersecurity, enhancing our collective resilience. This nationwide initiative, therefore, has a dual benefit: it builds a stronger, safer digital landscape for small Canadian organizations and equips the next generation with the skills to continue safeguarding our cyber community.
